Many people go straight to Bora Bora with a short transit at Papeete, but I think it's a mistake. Don't miss out on Thaiti on your French Polynesia trip, especially because of the world famous Teahupo'o at Tahiti Nui, where the 2024 Paris Olympics surfing will take place. We started our trip at the only city in Polynesia: Papeete, where we visited the food market, Papeete church and enjoyed the nightlife. Than we rented a car to travel to Teahupo'o through visiting amazing beaches, hikes with waterfalls. During our trip we stayed at different accommodations in Tahiti: amazing airbnb in Papeete, a tree house by the ocean at Tahiti Nut and a surf house by Teahupo'o very close to the waves and the green jungle.
