    The wet season, from November to April, has more rain and humidity, but it’s also less crowded and more affordable, providing a different vibe.

  • It depends on the island. On larger islands like Tahiti or Moorea, you’ll probably want a car or a scooter to explore. However, smaller islands and resorts often have bikes or even boat transport, so renting a car might not be necessary.

  • While many places accept credit cards, especially in more touristy areas, it’s a good idea to have some cash on hand, particularly if you’re heading to more remote islands or local markets. ATMs are easily accessible in Papeete area, but it’s more difficult in other areas to find one.
